**NUST Explores Collaboration with Lawmakers on Sustainability and Inclusive Development**

The National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) hosted a high-level delegation led by Ms. Shaista Pervaiz Malik, Member of the National Assembly and Convener of the SDGs Secretariat, alongside Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. The visit underscored NUST’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, inclusive development, and climate innovation.

During their brief but productive campus tour, the delegation was introduced to the university’s latest initiatives championed by the Office of Sustainability. These efforts include supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering climate action through innovation, and promoting inclusive education practices.

In subsequent discussions, the delegation and university officials explored options for future collaboration. The guests expressed keen interest in partnering with NUST to deliver joint training programmes on the SDGs, launch fellowship opportunities for young entrepreneurs, and develop inclusive education models for persons with disabilities.

Both parties signalled their intention to forge enduring partnerships that will advance progress towards national priorities and global sustainability objectives, while also empowering the next generation of changemakers throughout Pakistan.
