Sindh Parliamentary Reporters Visit Parliament House Islamabad

A 40-member delegation from the Sindh Parliamentary Reporters Association (SPRA) visited the Parliament House in Islamabad, where they toured various sections and held discussions with senior parliamentary media officials. The visit aimed to foster stronger collaboration between parliamentary reporters and media representatives from different regions.
During their tour, the delegation explored key areas of the Parliament House, including the Senate Hall, the Senate Museum, Gali-e-Dastoor, and the media lobby. Upon arrival at the media lobby, SPRA members were warmly welcomed by Zafar Sultan, Director General Media of the National Assembly, Asadullah Khan, Director Media Senate Secretariat, Usman Khan, President of PRA Pakistan, and Naveed Akbar, Secretary General.
The hosts briefed the delegation on how both chambers of Parliament operate, explained procedures for media coverage, and outlined the protocols of parliamentary reporting. The discussions emphasized the importance of clear guidelines and best practices in reporting parliamentary affairs.
Representatives from the delegation highlighted the need for a coordinated approach among members of various parliamentary reporters associations across the country. They suggested establishing joint mechanisms so that if any regional group faces a challenge, all journalistic organizations unite to find solutions collectively.
Both Asadullah Khan and Zafar Sultan assured the Sindh journalists of their full support. They expressed hope that regular interactions and open dialogue among the reporter community would contribute positively to the development and strengthening of parliamentary journalism in Pakistan.
