Punjab Boxing Association Announces Newly Elected Officials

The Punjab Boxing Association has announced the election of its new office bearers for the upcoming four-year term, following a general council meeting held in Lahore. Representatives from all divisions of Punjab attended the meeting, which was chaired by Abid Hussain Boxer.

During the session, Chaudhry Mustasim was elected as Chairman, Abid Hussain Boxer retained his role as President, Sharjeel Zia Butt was chosen as Secretary General, and Muhammad Tariq Gujjar was named Treasurer. The elected committee also includes Chaudhry Muhammad Sultan Mahmood as Co-chairman and Senior Vice President. The panel of vice presidents comprises Master Muhammad Ramzan from Sahiwal, Anwar Ahmed from Gujranwala, Abdul Jabbar from Rawalpindi, Gulzar Ahmed from Faisalabad, and Professor Safdar Ali Asif from Lahore.

Other key positions were filled by Abdul Jabbar as Associate Secretary, Samreen Altaf from Rawalpindi as a member of the executive committee, Khaula Athar as Lady Associate Secretary, and Executive Members Jalal Hadid from Sargodha and Syed Qanbar Ali Hamdani from Bahawalpur. Additionally, Haji Abdul Khaliq Mughal will serve as Media Coordinator, and Abdul Wabab has been appointed as IT In-charge.

Chaudhry Mustasim, the newly elected Chairman, emphasized the association’s commitment to identifying and promoting talented boxers across Punjab. President Abid Hussain Boxer expressed gratitude to the members for their participation and thanked the Chairman for pledging to organize a provincial training camp at Punjab Stadium for young athletes. Treasurer Tariq Gujjar noted that efforts are underway to secure sponsorships from various sources to help promote the sport and provide scholarships for promising boxers.
