MoFA Hosts Orientation for Naval Staff Course

An orientation session at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the delegation of the 55th Pakistan Navy Staff Course, where Additional Foreign Secretary and Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi delivered the briefing. The MoFA orientation brought together officers from the Pakistan Navy, Army and Pakistan Air Force alongside military representatives from 16 friendly countries to familiarise them with the ministry’s role in shaping Pakistan’s external engagements.

The session focused on MoFA’s core functions and the mechanics of policy formulation, with emphasis on coordination between defence services and the diplomatic corps. Participants were briefed on key foreign policy challenges and on how the ministry contributes to strategic decision making and international cooperation relevant to defence and security.

Officials described the MoFA orientation as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between military leadership and the foreign ministry, improving joint responses to regional security issues and diplomatic outreach. The briefing took place in Islamabad on October 20, 2025.
