ALSO Workshop at CPSP Multan Highlights and Outcomes

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) Regional Centre in Multan hosted an Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) workshop, bringing together senior faculty, consultants and trainees to refresh obstetric emergency skills and foster regional collaboration. The event featured in-person instruction, an online address by the CPSP President, and concluded with a group photograph.
The workshop was led by a team of experienced instructors from across Punjab and was formally opened by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tayyab, member of the CPSP Council. Senior consultants also participated in the sessions, contributing practical insights and clinical expertise.
Twenty-one candidates, primarily from Southern Punjab, attended the workshop to update their knowledge and skills in managing obstetric emergencies. The hands-on format and faculty mix aimed to strengthen clinical competence and regional professional links.
President CPSP Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal addressed participants online, sharing highlights from his recent visit to the United Kingdom, including academic developments and collaborative initiatives. He commended the organisation of the workshop and the participants’ enthusiasm for continuing professional development.
The workshop concluded with a group photograph to mark the occasion, reflecting the centre’s commitment to ongoing education and capacity building in maternal care.
