On Peace Day the embassy emphasised Sweden’s long‑term approach to peacebuilding by strengthening gender equality and empowering women and girls. Sweden supports programmes that promote inclusive education and teach future generations about cooperation and non-violence, linking local efforts in Pakistan to broader global goals.

The embassy noted that peace requires active participation from governments, civil society and citizens, and highlighted concrete ways people can speak up and get involved on Peace Day and beyond.
