Strengthening Pakistan Azerbaijan Ties With Book

The National Assembly hosted the launch of the Urdu edition of “The History of the Patriotic War: Personality Factor” at Parliament House, an event that underscored deepening Pakistan Azerbaijan relations. Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah attended as chief guest, joined by Ambassador Khazar Farhadov of Azerbaijan, Ambassador İrfan Neziroğlu of Türkiye, federal ministers, members of the Pak–Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group and senior parliamentary officials.

Ambassador Khazar Farhadov described the book as a comprehensive account of Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44‑day Patriotic War and praised the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev for guiding the nation to the restoration of Nagorno‑Karabakh after decades of occupation. He highlighted Pakistan and Türkiye’s steadfast support during the conflict and presented the Urdu edition to Deputy Speaker Shah as a symbol of cultural solidarity.

Ambassador Neziroğlu emphasized the long‑standing bonds among Pakistan, Türkiye and Azerbaijan, noting how shared values and mutual support have shaped joint responses to regional challenges. His remarks reinforced the trilateral unity that has informed diplomatic and parliamentary cooperation across multiple platforms.

Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah praised the translation and publication of the book into Urdu as a meaningful expansion of cultural and linguistic cooperation. He lauded President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership and said the events surrounding the Patriotic War serve as an inspiration across Muslim-majority countries, reflecting courage, determination and national unity.

Stressing Pakistan’s admiration for Azerbaijan’s resilience, Deputy Speaker Shah reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty in international fora. He highlighted the role of literature in connecting peoples and preserving collective memory, calling books “ambassadors of ideas” that inspire future generations and strengthen ties between nations.

The Deputy Speaker commended the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the Pak–Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group for advancing parliamentary diplomacy and people‑to‑people exchanges. He affirmed that the Parliament of Pakistan remains committed to expanding bilateral cooperation in education, culture and trade, confident that Pakistan Azerbaijan relations will continue to deepen in the years ahead.
