Youth Drive Change in Human Rights Ordinance
International Youth Change Maker (IYCM) participated in the national consultation on the Draft National Human Rights Commission Ordinance 2025, bringing the energy and perspective of young advocates into a key policy discussion in Pakistan. The invitation underscored the growing recognition that meaningful youth involvement strengthens the process of shaping national human rights frameworks.
Abdul Hannan Milton represented IYCM at the meeting and articulated the priorities of young changemakers focused on justice, equality and human dignity. His contributions aimed to ensure that the Draft National Human Rights Commission Ordinance 2025 reflects the voices of a new generation committed to rights-based solutions and inclusive policy-making.
IYCM’s engagement at the consultation highlights a sustained effort to expand youth participation in national debates on rights and governance. By pressing for active roles for young people in implementation and oversight, the organisation seeks to translate the principles of the Human Rights Ordinance into concrete gains for communities across Pakistan.
