FIA Immigration Offloads Two for Fake Travel Documents

FIA immigration officers at Islamabad International Airport prevented two men from boarding a flight to Italy after authorities identified counterfeit travel documents. The passengers, scheduled to travel on flight EY303, were taken off the aircraft and held for further inquiries.

The two travellers were identified as Fayaz Ahmed and Nauman Ali, both natives of Mandi Bahauddin. Immigration checks revealed that the Italy resident cards they presented were forged and that their passports bore falsified Pakistani and Italian immigration stamps.

Initial investigation by FIA immigration indicates the suspects obtained the bogus resident cards from local agents in exchange for significant sums of money. Due to the suspected criminal network involved, the pair were handed over to the Anti Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad for formal legal proceedings.

The FIA spokesperson confirmed that legal action will follow and that further investigation is ongoing to trace the source of the fake documents and any accomplices. Airport immigration units remain vigilant as part of broader efforts to prevent document fraud and human trafficking.
