Maryam Nawaz Mobilises Victim Support in Manawala

Following Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s directions, officials visited a 17-year-old with an intellectual disability in Manawala to assess immediate needs and arrange assistance. The visit aimed to ensure the survivor receives coordinated care and protection while authorities document the case.

During the meeting, authorities assured the family of full legal, medical and psychological support, committing teams to provide ongoing care and to facilitate access to necessary services. Emphasis was placed on timely intervention and careful handling of the victim’s needs to safeguard recovery.

Officials vowed there would be no mercy for the perpetrators and that every effort will be made to secure justice. The promise to pursue accountability reflects a broader focus on victim support and the rule of law in cases involving vulnerable survivors.

Reinforcing that women’s safety remains an unwavering mission, the local administration said it will continue coordinating with medical and counselling professionals to strengthen victim support measures in the area.
