Advancing TEVT Pathways with Italy

Dr. Augusto Palmieri, First Secretary at the Embassy of Italy in Pakistan, visited NAVTTC Headquarters in Islamabad to meet Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of NAVTTC, to deliberate on collaboration opportunities on TEVT pathways between Pakistan and Italy.

The discussions centred on strengthening institutional linkages and advancing skills development initiatives that can broaden workforce mobility and bolster capacity building. Both sides explored avenues for cooperation that could align technical education and vocational training efforts with international standards and labour market needs, underlining the importance of practical partnerships to make TEVT pathways more effective.

For Pakistan, enhanced cooperation with Italy on TEVT pathways could open new channels for training, certification and professional exchange while supporting NAVTTC’s mandate to develop a skilled workforce. The meeting underscored a mutual interest in continued dialogue and concrete steps to translate shared priorities into programs that benefit trainees and employers across both countries.
