OIC Advances TYPOA Planning in Jeddah

Delegations from Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation convened on Monday 17 November 2025 at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah to press forward with preparations for the next decade. The intergovernmental experts group gathered to continue discussions central to the OIC TYPOA and to refine the substance of the draft programme of action.

The four-day session is focused on setting strategic objectives and identifying priority areas to be included in the new OIC Ten-Year Programme of Action for 2026–2035. Participants will work through policy proposals and consensus points that will inform the draft document and guide cooperation among member states over the coming decade.

Pakistan’s representatives joined colleagues from across the OIC to contribute to the drafting process, underscoring Islamabad’s interest in shaping regional priorities and practical cooperation. Outcomes from the Jeddah meeting will be critical as member states seek a coherent OIC TYPOA framework for the next ten years.
