Pak-EPA Tests Rawal Dam Water Quality
On 27 November 2025 the Pak-EPA NEQS Laboratory Team carried out targeted sampling at the water filtration plant and multiple points across Rawal Dam to assess water quality and ensure compliance with national standards.
Field teams collected samples from the three feeding streams Korang Stream, Lake Viewpoint Stream and Jinnah Stream, and also took water from a central point within the dam as well as a location at the spillway to capture conditions across Rawal Dam.
Both deep-water and surface-water samples were obtained to provide a comprehensive picture of the reservoir. All samples will undergo detailed chemical and microbiological analysis at the CLEAN lab of Pak-EPA so laboratory results can confirm conformity with NEQS parameters.
The operation underscores Pak-EPA’s ongoing commitment to monitoring Rawal Dam water quality and safeguarding public health and the environment through regular sampling, rigorous testing and timely follow-up where needed.
