Rawalpindi Police Arrest Suspects in Hair Cutting Case

Rawalpindi police have arrested three main suspects in a hair cutting case that drew widespread attention after a video went viral on social media. The incident, which took place nearly a month earlier, was not immediately reported to authorities; a case was filed at Thana Naseerabad only after the victim’s video statement surfaced online.

Investigators say the central accused who cut the woman’s hair was aided by two other individuals, including a man and a woman, and all three fled after the footage circulated. Acting on the viral clip and the victim’s testimony, Rawalpindi police employed both technical and human intelligence to trace and detain the primary suspects. Police have indicated that additional associates and facilitators are being identified and will be taken into custody to face legal proceedings.

Syed Khalid Hamdani, the city police officer, stressed that there is no tolerance for violence, harassment or any form of cruelty toward citizens, particularly women, and warned that those involved in the hair cutting case will not escape the reach of the law. The ongoing investigation remains under the supervision of Naseerabad police with further forensic and witness follow-up expected as the case proceeds.
