Sindh Healthcare Expands Free Advanced Care

In Islamabad, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari praised Sindh government initiatives that aim to strengthen public services, saying the province is winning international recognition for its efforts. He highlighted that whether through new hospitals or improvements in the education system, the provincial administration remains focused on delivering results for citizens.

Bilawal said Sindh healthcare has been a priority, with targeted measures to bolster medical services across the province. He noted that free, internationally standard care is being provided, citing upgrades to Jinnah Hospital and expanded cardiac services at NICVD where heart treatments are now offered without charge to patients.

The chairman said Sindh has established 11 NICVD-style hospitals to widen access to cardiac care and that expensive cancer treatments are being offered free across the province. For the first time in Sindh, CyberKnife technology has been introduced for cancer treatment, marking a significant step in modernising oncology services under the Sindh healthcare drive.

Beyond health, Bilawal pointed to progress in education and social welfare: the number of universities in Sindh has doubled, a poverty reduction programme has been launched and two hundred thousand solar systems have been distributed to households. He added that these initiatives have also contributed to improved revenue collection in the province.

The event in Islamabad was attended by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and provincial ministers including Jam Khan Shoro, Sardar Mohammad Bux Mahar, Sharjeel Inam Memon and Nasir Shah. Bilawal reiterated that the government will continue expanding Sindh healthcare and other public services to benefit residents across the province.
