A delegation from the Johor State Legislative Assembly has arrived in Karachi to take part in the 7th CPA Asia Regional Conference and the 2nd Joint CPA Asia & South-East Asia Regional Conference hosted by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 3 to 7 February.
The Johor Assembly delegation is led by Speaker Datuk Dr Haji Mohd Puad Bin Zarkashi and includes his spouse Dr Rubiah Leman, Assembly Secretary Mohd Ezwan Abdul Ghani, observer member Khairul Hazwan Bin Mohamad and members Datuk Mohd Yasla Bin Ismail and Datuk Mohd Fuad Bin Tukirin. The visit brings together legislators and officials to engage on parliamentary cooperation and regional issues addressed at the CPA Asia events.
The delegation was welcomed on arrival at Jinnah International Airport by Member Provincial Assembly of Sindh Dr Sikandar Ali Shoro. The reception reflects ongoing ties between Sindh and Malaysian state legislatures and sets the stage for discussions and exchanges during the conference.
Participation by the Johor Assembly at the CPA Asia gatherings offers an opportunity for knowledge sharing on legislative practices and for strengthening relations between provincial assemblies. Delegates will join parliamentary colleagues from the region in Karachi as the Sindh Assembly hosts several sessions and meetings from 3 to 7 February.
