DG PSB Shoaib optimistic about a Pakistan chances in Asian Games

Islamabad (By Arif mehmood khan)Shoaib Khoso, Director General, Pakistan Sports Board, has said that there are high expectations from the Pakistani delegation in the Asian Games presently going on in Hangzhou, China, we have to keep in mind that Pakistan has won more medals in the Asian Games in the past. However, they are not disappointed and have much better expectations from the players. Shoaib Khoso, who is determined and passionate about the development and promotion of sports in Pakistan, said that many players in Pakistan have reached China and the rest of the players will leave Islamabad for Beijing on the night of September 21. It will be Rawama from where he will later go to Hong Jo. Director General of Pakistan Sports Board further said that he and Secretary of Inter-Provincial Coordination Ahmed Hanif Orakzai will also go to China to watch the Asian Games, but they will not stay for long. In response to a question, he said that Pakistan can win eight to ten medals in various sports, for which the players will have to enter the field with full enthusiasm. Shoaib Khoso said that the national federations of all the participating sports in the Asian Games have conducted training camps and the best available talent has been selected. It should be remembered that the 19th Asian Games will be held in Hong Jo from September 23 to October 8 and Pakistan’s contingent of more than 250 players and officials will participate in the competition. Pakistan’s national volleyball team played its first match against Mongolia. He has made a great start in competitions by winning.
