DRAP and Azerbaijan Explore Digital Regulatory Collaboration

A delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan, headed by Mr. Semral Aliyev, Director General of Public Service Design and Innovations, visited the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and met with its CEO, Dr. Obaidullah, to exchange insights on digital transformation and regulatory improvements.
During the meeting, DRAP officials briefed the Azerbaijani delegation about their organization’s ongoing digital transformation journey, highlighting various initiatives that aim to boost regulatory efficiency and enhance public service delivery. The delegation reviewed DRAP’s technological efforts and acknowledged the organization’s significant achievements in modernizing its regulatory systems and processes.
The Azerbaijani officials expressed appreciation towards DRAP’s efforts, commending the enhancements in regulatory framework achieved through careful integration of digital technologies. Discussions also covered possibilities for future collaboration between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, specifically focusing on areas including digital infrastructure and regulatory practice development.
Both delegations reiterated their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, agreeing to continue exploring potential avenues of knowledge-sharing and improvement of public-sector services through digital innovation.
