Livestock Secretary Visits Qadirabad Experimental Station

Punjab Livestock Secretary Ahmad Aziz Tarar visited the Livestock Experimental Station (LES) in Qadirabad to review ongoing research activities and administrative operations at the facility. The visit aimed to assess progress in scientific research and its practical applications in the livestock sector.

During his tour, Secretary Tarar inspected various departments at the research station, including laboratories, livestock sheds, and other research sections. He examined both the scientific projects underway and the processes being used across these facilities.

Speaking at the occasion, Secretary Tarar emphasized the importance of making advanced livestock research accessible to small farmers. He noted that transferring modern techniques to these farmers would help them increase their productivity and improve their livelihoods. He also highlighted the critical need for genetic improvement in livestock to boost milk production, stating that expanding research efforts in this area should remain a priority.

The visit was accompanied by Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Usman Tahir, Director Breed Improvement Dr. Muhammad Sajid, and Director LPRI Bahadur Nagar Dr. Maqsood Ahmad, who supported the review of ongoing projects and shared insights on future initiatives.
