IIUI Seminar Highlights Digital Pakistan Vision 2047

The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) recently hosted a seminar titled “Digital Pakistan Vision 2047” to explore the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in the country. The event, organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs (Male) in collaboration with the Faculty of Management Sciences, was held as part of Pakistan Day and upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
The seminar featured Mr. Ammar Jaffri, Director General of the Center of Information Technology and former Additional Director of the Federal Investigation Agency, as the chief guest. Mr. Jaffri was joined by a panel of industry professionals and experts who delivered presentations on key topics such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The speakers particularly encouraged students to align their final year projects with these emerging fields, highlighting their relevance in Pakistan’s digital future.
Dr. Muhammad Arshad, a founding member of the National University of Sciences and Technology and a recognized expert in his field, advised participants on the importance of setting meaningful goals and outlined strategies for achieving success in life and career.
The seminar opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address from Dr. H. Ghufran, Director of Student Affairs (Male). In his remarks, Dr. Ghufran urged students to utilize digital tools effectively to boost their academic and professional performance.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the speakers and guests, and the presentation of a souvenir to the chief guest. Faculty members and participants were also served refreshments, marking the close of a fruitful discussion on the digital future of Pakistan.
