Photo Exhibition Showcases Bulgaria and Pakistan Treasures

The Embassy of Bulgaria in Islamabad, in collaboration with COMSATS University Islamabad, opened a joint photo exhibition highlighting the ancient treasures of Bulgaria and Pakistan. The display brings together high-resolution images of exquisite artefacts that trace the deep historical roots of both countries and invite local audiences to reflect on a shared cultural journey.

The photo exhibition presents striking photographs of golden and silver objects from the Thracian period alongside artefacts representing Pakistan’s own rich past, underscoring how heritage can transcend borders. Each image is curated to illustrate craftsmanship, continuity and the human stories that connect communities across time and geography.

Held as part of events marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Pakistan, the exhibition places cultural diplomacy at the centre of bilateral ties. Students, scholars and members of the public in Islamabad were able to engage directly with the material, fostering dialogue and new avenues for academic and cultural exchange.

Organisers extended gratitude to COMSATS University Islamabad and to all guests who attended the opening. Special thanks were also offered to the State Institute for Culture, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the Institute of Balkan Studies and Center of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for their support in preparing the Bulgarian section dedicated to Thracian golden and silver objects.

By showcasing the beauty of the past through this photo exhibition, organisers aim to build bridges for future collaboration and inspire continued partnership between Bulgarian and Pakistani cultural and academic institutions.
