A vehicle loaded with walnut bark was intercepted near Chichian Interchange on the motorway and taken into custody. The vehicle bearing registration number 9500 was stopped at a coordinated checkpoint, inspected and then transferred to the Haripur Forest Office for legal proceedings following the walnut bark seizure.
Under the special instructions of Divisional Forest Officer Haripur Abrar Ahmad, Sub Divisional Forest Officer Syed Tauqir Ahmad Shah formed a dedicated team. Acting on those orders, Syed Tauqir Ahmad Shah, Forester Bashir Ahmad, Forest Guard Mehrab Khan and Forest Guard Waqar Yunus carried out the operation with effective cooperation from the motorway police, establishing a coordinated roadblock close to Chichian Interchange and executing the seizure.
The detained vehicle was securely transported to the forest office where documentation and further legal action will follow. Officials in the Haripur Forest Division said the walnut bark seizure reflects ongoing efforts to prevent illegal timber transport along major highways and to enforce forestry laws with coordinated field actions.
