Empowering Student Leaders at ICG Investiture

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–2026 took place at Islamabad College for Girls F-6/2, where Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, attended as the chief guest and was warmly received by the principal, faculty and students.

During the event Ms. Farah Naz Akbar administered the oath of office to the newly elected Student Council for 2025–26 and offered congratulations to the council members. She urged students to engage actively in both curricular and co-curricular activities, stressing that the youth should play a central role in the country’s development in line with the vision of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for an educated, dynamic and progressive generation.

Following the formal proceedings, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar toured the college to observe recent academic and infrastructural initiatives designed to raise the quality of education. The visit included a look at a state-of-the-art podcast room complete with modern recording equipment and cultural learning resources, a space intended to foster creativity, innovation and digital literacy among students.

The ICG investiture highlighted the institution’s commitment to student leadership and contemporary learning tools, sending a clear message about nurturing skills that will prepare young women to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s future.
